We had the distinct pleasure of contracting Buffone Bros. to do a remodel of our basement and guest bathroom in the summer of 2014. Prior to starting the project we did a great deal of research and interviewed many contractors. I can say without hesitation that Dave Buffone stood out immediately and we could not be more pleased with our decision to hire him and his team. We had a very restrictive budget and Dave made every effort to stay within those confines. We wanted to do some smaller parts of the project ourselves in order to keep costs down. I’m sure that this was neither ideal nor convenient from a contractor perspective, but not once Dave or any member of his team try to pressure us into letting them do the work, which would have made them more money. Instead they were flexible and completely cooperative, which left me with a sense of ease that we were not being taken advantage of. Dave was extremely communicative throughout the entire project, and was extremely easy to get in touch with, even in the evenings. I dealt primarily with Dave, but had some interaction with his sub-contractors and found them to be equally as pleasant, knowledgeable, and professional. The project was completed on time and within budget, and the project areas were always clean and tidy when they left for the day so as to cause no interference with our daily lives. Perhaps more importantly, the workmanship was exceptional. I proposed a particularly tricky tiling scheme for the bathroom, and Dave’s sub-contractor completed it expertly. I am extremely happy with the finished product in both the basement and the bathroom. To Dave’s immense credit I have contacted him since finishing the project with other home-related questions and hi is always quick with a helpful response. As first-time homeowners were are extremely fortunate to have found a contractor that we will most certainly work exclusively for any and all future projects in this home and any future homes. And we would eagerly recommend Buffone Bros. to anyone!
